Given the current job market, I think that lately have been limited in how the HP Classic in terms of characteristics of communication characteristics such as personal integrity, respect and passion. In a recent blog, I received a comment that gave a significant budget integrity. It was a quote from 1998 by a Captain Conway, a platoon commander in the School of Marine the official candidate. He said: "Integrity is like virginity. Once you lose, you will never recover." In my opinion, this is very accurate. I see too Business people who are willing to compromise his integrity and business ethics – "Just this once." It's like a lie and the end justifies means. We read every day about the hundreds of executives diverted thousands (or millions) of dollars to society. Another problem is that your reputation can be repaired. We have all worked and known people in business who have demonstrated corners cut and walk on people – As needed. This may have been effective for them in the short term, but clearly has tarnished his image in the eyes of most people. This is extremely difficult to repair.
Respect is one of the critical elements of the business. There are many examples of major political, military and business ruled heavy-handed and have been very effective. However, I can draw twice as many entrepreneurs who built a climate of trust and respect that were equally effective. soldiers lead in the battle and lead employees in the business are two different activities. Employees may quit and you have another job or, worse still, can not ignore or hurt you. I recognize that each leader has a different style. However, research has shown, the leaders should not fear to be effective. Treating team with respect and creating a positive culture will produce more long-term value. Employees who have earned the respect of your manager feel good about their contribution and are able to return to their families with their heads held high are much more effective than employees who are called out and told us. No project or job is more important that self of an individual in itself.
