Of fat on to fortune; Jared Story meters

The story begins in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, where Jared S. Fogle was born on December 1, 1977. Attend at North Central High School, Jared was massively overweight, weighing 425 pounds, and sports shirts 6XL reputation. As a student at the University of Indiana, Jared plays a doctor who diagnosed edema, after which he was sent to hospital. Jared said that his excessive obesity could lead him to the grave at the age of thirty few resources, does not change their habits.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Jared decided to take action. Intrigued by a local subway June 7 campaign ad (This will offer a menu of seven sandwiches, each with less than six grams of fat) began a diet of turkey club sandwich 6 "for lunch, feet and long sub vegetables at dinner. The diet was a success in the three months Jared had paid about 100 pounds, and visible reduction in size did you start taking regular exercise. Rather than use public transport, Jared began to walk wherever he could, choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible. In the end diet, had lost more than 240 books, which greatly reduces its size and increased life expectancy.

Beaten by the huge weight loss Jared a roommate who barely recognized (by its slim, again) wrote an article for the Indiana Jared student per day in April 1999. Writer Men's Health to read the article and continued writing an article for the magazine, which mentions the Diet "Subway Sandwiches" in an article entitled "Crazy Diets that work.

The owner of a Subway franchise in the Chicago area to read the article and went to talk to the director of the agency Chicago Underground advertising, believing that history could be used to promote business in some way. The situation was growing and it was not long before Jared was introduced to tell their story to the camera, which then become a national television advertising campaign.

Advertising has been a great success, the day after the first issue, Metro Marketing Director started getting calls from U.S. Today, ABC News, Fox News and even Oprah. The story grew, and soon the Indianapolis hotels were full of journalists eager to learn the man who had lost weight, eating what was considered fast food.

It seems that the United States – a nation celebrates overweight in the eyes of many countries may be related to the battle with Jared scales, and especially the fact that Jared was a real person with real success story, rather than advertising fiction. Metro received fruit, with sales up 18% this year and 16% next year.

Jared is now a well known phenomenon that has been parodied on public television and several movies including "The Simpsons" "South Park", "Scary Movie 3" and "Saturday Night Live. "It is still used by the underground as a spokesperson for fitness and healthy eating.
