Lift Shift Pre / test before

Before driving the truck, you should check to make sure it is safe to use, the car can be a machine dangerous if defective or if the operator does not understand how to use it.

Read the manual and the manufacturer's manual before attempting to perform the necessary checks and to familiarize with components of your truck.

The main objective of the operational controls before:

Identify and report damage or defects
Prevention accidents
Keep forklift

Make sure the forklift is in a safe place, away from pedestrians and the previous obstacles, can be controls are divided into three sections –

external control
Internal Audit
Control operation

External Control
Check the fork (Teeth) shows no visible signs of cracks and they are regularly separated and locked in place with safety pins.
The burden of file storage is harmless
The mounting pole is in good condition and there is no drainage pipes
The wheels and tires in good condition with good pressure (For tires) and not caught not shrink back.
The protection of the driver is equipped and secure, undamaged
The plate (Plate capacity nominal) is in place and can be read
The general condition of the truck (especially around the counterweight) and the cabin is clean and free of debris)

Internal Control
Check the engine compartment for leaks and hoses are in good condition, the fan belt tension and has a good the filters are clean.
The battery is safe and in good condition, the electrolyte level is completed (see operator's manual for the levels and the use of personal protective equipment that the battery contains acid.
Check the engine oil, coolant and transmission oil levels are within
Make sure you have enough fuel, eg LPG, electric, diesel when the cart you use and if used liquefied petroleum gas Make sure the bottle is in good condition and not leaking (also check that it is dated)
Hydraulic oil is exceeded and the level is within of
Brake fluid and power steering levels (if applicable) are in limited
The headquarters are in good condition and the seat belt is secure and works well (which could save lives)

Operational control
Enter by hand using the correct technique (3 points of contact left)
Ensure that controls are in neutral and the parking brake is
Insert the key and start the engine (as manual)
Check all indicators and warning devices work (sound, lights, reversing beeper, lights and all other devices) installed on your truck
Using levers hydraulic lift fork right at the highest level, low and use your pitch and make sure you have full movement back before, even with change of ends and all the other levers that are on the forklift has full movement.
Move the lift slowly and check that the brakes work both ways and that the parking brake that operates and maintains the truck in place when the striker has committed.
