motivation employees

Since the motivation of employees is very important for the growth of an organization, managers and supervisors need to know how to motivate employees. In this article explains the basic steps of a manager or supervisor can take to keep employees motivated for long.

1) Place an enabling environment

Employees must be motivated by themselves. The duty of a manager or supervisor is to create a suitable environment where employees can motivate and empower.

2) Money is not always a good source of motivation.

A paid job and can often help people less motivated and less, but generally not useful to make them more motivated. Truth is that different people are motivated by different things. While money is important for some people, others believe more family time or a greater recognition within the organization. A manager or supervisor is to motivate your employees should try to understand what motivates each of them. Generally, you can find what motivates their employees asking them, listening and watching.

3) Do not scare your employees

It is easier if the head cries a lot. But this usually works for a short period. Fear alone can not keep employees motivated by a very long time. So stay away from practice of scaring their employees.

4) Motivate yourself

A manager trying to motivate employees should be encouraged to himself. If he is enthusiastic about his work, it will be easy for fellow enthusiasts as well. So before you start to encourage others to ask if you find work to motivate enough. What can you do to encourage better? If you know what motivates you, it's easier for you to understand what motivates others.

5) Align organizational objectives with employee goals

Always work with the goal of aligning organizational goals with the objectives of employees. The fact that some employees will not help unless you motivated all the work to achieve the objectives of the organization.

6) Use motivational systems

To motivate employees, you can use incentive systems. For example, organizations can implement systems of compensation and performance systems employees. It is also possible to make some changes in organizational policies and procedures to support the motivation of employees.

7) Practice what you read

Leadership is not necessarily grown only read the publications of management. It is necessary to implement what they read.

8) See attention and genuine concern

Show genuine care and concern for their employees. Meet the personal level – to their families, their favorite foods; the names of their children, etc. This should be done with a sincere interest, otherwise their will of its controller.

9) Learn to delegate

Give due emphasis on teamwork. Not all yourself. Good leadership involves responsibility and delegation of authority to employees. We will decide how they want to carry out tasks. When you delegate, your employees feel you would like to take a greater role in their work.

10) Reward your employees

Everyone seeks recognition and appreciation – your employees are no different. So please do not appreciate when we see them well in their jobs. This is a key lesson for managers and supervisors. Clearly articulate how the performance of an employee contributes to organizational performance. By showing your appreciation, you will be able to motivate them to do better.
