Employer Theft

My employer sent me a letter saying that insurance against loss of my personal data. And I at risk for identity theft.?
They gave me three steps to protect my credit, including freezing of identification and TrustedID to cover expenses. If my people have committed my insurance by employers is another steps should I take to protect myself? Is my employer responsible and how I can protect myself? Should I consider changing jobs?
Accept your offer to pay for credit protection. Be alert and check your credit reports. There is no question of liability until it can demonstrate prejudice. If nothing ever happens, because that and not due to gross negligence or fraud, you can not sue for damages and win something important. As for finding another job, which is a decision you can appeal. They seem to be holding a monologue to you soon and offering to pay for credit protection, but I know better than you.
