Employer Discrimination

I want to file a discrimination complaint against my employer and I want out because I feel very uncomfortable
I quit my job due to discrimination race at work, at the same time file a complaint. Is it safe to leave before seeing a lawyer? I give two weeks notice inorder to resign, or I can leave at any time if I want. I need answers really useful, only NT 2 points.
First, document what happened in as much detail as possible and keep this list current. Keep a copy in a safe place, away from work.
