Employee Suggestion Programs
How can you recognize employees for good work and achievements?
Do you have a formal program? I want to put in place a program to recognize employees. All suggestions welcome.
A raise is always appreciated, but there are other incentives that can maintain a loyal employee. In my company, we give a gift certificate for $ 50 of your choice on your birthday. We had to take everyone to lunch at the company. We give bonuses at Christmas and hold a company party with a white elephant gift exchange. We give gift certificates to local eateries such as incentives for the occasion. Everyone in our company receives a check Quarterly gas, even when not competing, although the amount varies and is based on each individual. The boss will allow us to leave earlier on Friday, sometimes but still paying for the entire day. Birthday cards are always a nice touch. Incentives alone are not always enough, the simple phrase "job well done" goes a long way. Employee recognition is not always financially, however base, much appreciated if executed correctly. All these ideas are highly dependent on the size your company and its ability to implement these ideas.
