What are the laws for an employer who has an hourly employee called me to inform me about a month in the Parish of Orleans?

The employer is not required to pay employees when they are at work. In some countries, jurors whose employers decide not their pay compensation, but generally is very low – in my county is CA $ 26 per day – but I can not find anything on the website of the Parish of Orleans on this, so I guess I did not.
