Confidential Employee
I think the director of human resources has illegally shared confidential information with other EA. How I can protect myself?
In my business Manager Accounting manages human resource functions. Her daughter is the A / P wizard. I learned that she shared confidential information about employees and others with his daughter before (waiting reprimands and dismissals). Last year I had to Physicians for a note explaining the absence of three days recently, the details are not known outside of my family (no co-workers or friends, even). Based on some recent comments / jokes made by his daughter, is likely to have received that information from his mother, the director of accounting. I am very angry and want to complain, but worry about disturbing the senior management and, possibly, jeopardize my future society. He has worked in business for 18 years and is a close friend of the owner and his wife. FWIW, I just got an increase 25% last month (20% last year, when it was promoted to a permanent employee), and my track record is very strong.
The next time a comment is to ask why he would say such a thing. Find your state laws regarding privacy at work so if it happens again, you have to make a copy of something concrete about violating privacy laws personal. If you are running your mouth you will most likely she does around the world as well.
